The initial set up of your beads depends on the normal weather conditions in the area you live.

The relative humidity where you live and the number of times that you open the humidor will affect the length of time before you have to add or remove moisture from the Heartfelt Beads.

If you live in a high humidity area, and you need the Heartfelt Beads to reduce the humidity in your humidor, you have nothing to do prior to use ~ just place the tubes filled with Heartfelt Beads in your humidor.

If you live in a low humidity area, and you need the Heartfelt Beads to increase the humidity in you humidor, your set up is very simple ~ you just need to add distilled water to charge the Heartfelt Beads. Full instructions will be sent with your beads.

You can tell if the Heartfelt Beads contain moisture by looking at them. They will appear white when the moisture is low and they will appear clear when the moisture is high. (see photographs below)

.5 ounce tube is recommended for 25-50 count humidors

1 ounce tube is recommended for 50-75 count humidors

2 ounce tube is recommended for 75-100 count humidors

4 ounce tube is recommended for 150-300 count humidors
