The New SCHIP Tax Is Now In Effect.

Unfortunately most of our cigars have gone up by approximately 30 cents per cigar. We are trying our best to stay as far below the cap of 40 cents as we can. We are not willing to charge the 40 cents--just because we can. And we will never increase them more than the cap--like other companies are doing.

We know this tax is going to hurt a lot of people. Our only hope is that it is at least going to a good cause. My grandchildren are on CHIP due to their father passing away suddenly in December. It is a wonderful program and I am happy to do my part. I just wish my part didn't have to include raising our prices so high.

Thank you for your continued support of John Hay Cigars. We will do our best to continue providing you with the best customer service we can. One thing that sets us apart from a lot of other cigar companies is that we are small and we can cater to each customer and friend.

Happy Smoking,
Lauren & David

John Hay March

Click the sheet music below to listen to the John Hay March by M. A. Althouse. The music was dedicated to W. W. Stewart and Sons, the original manufacturer of John Hay Cigars, in 1916. We are lucky to own an original of the sheet music and had a friend record it for us. We hope you enjoy a piece of history while you visit our site.
